There is a certain excitement felt when venturing down unknown roads for the first time. In the forefront, there is always the anticipation of finding your own slice of paradise and reveling in your own quick witted decision to take the 2nd left after the 3rd dirt road leading straight to perfection. In reality, the ever persistent thought of failure lurks over the shoulders while you can only hope that today is the day. Well, this day was exactly that, The day.
The movie is officially complete! We will now get back to a regular blogging schedule and also be updating the premiere schedule as dates are locked in. Don’t forget to check out the Santa Barbara Int’l film festival if you are in the area. Way of the Ocean: Australia will be screening on Sat the 29th at 1pm at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and again on Monday the 31st at 1pm at the Metro 4 Cinemas. Until then , here are some dreamy peaks to mind surf.

Some mornings the beach breaks can yield almost perfect conditions. This particular morning was one of those days, with relatively minimal crowds and pumping sets, the early bird gets the worm.

6am Victoria Australia with Adam Robertson. Icy Cold, Oily Smooth, Vivid Color, Corduroy Lines, Low Tide, Utterly Surreal . . .







As production rolls on things have gotten very busy and blog updates have been few and far between. Here’s a quick look at some of the sights from the last week. There has been a lot of swell and we have been on the move so there is plenty of photographic bliss on the way as well as a few film clips to fill you in on all the happenings over the last few weeks. Check back soon for a full update or make it easy and subscribe to the blog and stay in the loop.





The Australian coastline is over 16,000 miles long and with plenty of options for surf along a good portion of it, we took to the road again. A road trip is always a gamble, but usually the rewards can be far greater than the risks involve. After a few weeks of the Gold Coast ‘s crowded right points, we searched for something completely opposite and within a few days we were on to it. The beach breaks in Australia are up there with the best in the world, and a few of the smoking left-handers we found were holding true to that statement. Content with our current surroundings, we will be posted up for a few more days of dark emerald caves.
