BROKEN BOARD = SURF ART

There are probably hundreds of boards that are snapped each day around the world, and most are thrown into landfills or left on the beach. Not good!  A great way to recycle the fiberglass and foam is to add some art and hang it on a wall for inspiration. So the next time you get a chance to recycle a broken board, go for it!

THE MOVIE POSTER

First Sight

We are happy to announce that WAY OF THE OCEAN will be a part of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.  The first screening will be at the Santa Barbara Museum of Art on Saturday January 29th at 1pm. There will be a second screening at the Metro 4 Theaters on Monday the 31st at 1pm.

About the Film:

Way of the Ocean: Australia, explores the connection between man and sea through a visual feast of poetic motion. The world’s largest island provides a breathtaking backdrop to some of the best surfing found on the planet. Since it was first introduced in the early 1900′s, surfing in Australia has become a mainstream pursuit and for this country devoted to the ocean lifestyle, it is more than a way of life. From the tropical paradise of the Great Barrier Reef down through the frigid Southern Ocean and up to the arid desert of the west, the film captures an intimate portrait of this unique land. Vibrant super 16mm and High Definition cameras bring to life the stunning visuals, set to a heart thumping original score. Welcome to the odyssey of your life. Welcome to Australia.

NEAR

As we near the end of 2010 we also get one step close to the official release of WAY OF THE OCEAN. It’s been a long year with lots of time spent on the beach, in the water and most recently more than enough time at the computer bringing this thing to life.  While we put the finishing touches on this labor of love, we’d like to wish everyone happy holidays and thank you for your continued support of this independent film. We will be announcing the first big screen premiere directly after the new year and we are very, very excited to share our story with you. Cheers!
